Workshops

This year we are running workshops in three formats:

  • For students who feel Less Comfortable: these are the majority of our workshops suitable for students of any ability level.
  • For students who feel More Comfortable: these are for students that are ready for a challenge. They will cover more advanced material, will skim over some of the basics, and will be more challenging.
  • For women, non-binary, and gender-diverse, non-binary, or nonconforming students: These will operate at the same level as the Less Comfortable workshops, but will be a safe space for students who identify with these groups.

None of the additional material from the More Comfortable workshops will be assessed, but you are welcome to attend them if you feel you are ready for a challenge.

Workshops are run by tutors and start in Week 1. Refer to your timetable to find which one you are in. Please feel free to attend any workshop that suits you, regardless of your allocated workshop so long as there is space. You may attend as many workshops as you like.

Additionally, some workshops require you to bring your own device (BYOD). These sessions will require a laptop for participation, so please check the timetable carefully.

For Semester 1, 2026 the workshop timetable is still being finalised; the entries below are temporary placeholders only. Please refer to your personal timetable on my.unimelb for confirmed times and locations.
