Hey! I am a second year MSc student in Physics with the Experimental Particle Physics research group. When I’m not manipulating equations I’m usually manipulating videos - I am passionate about cinematography and have also been doing VFX, editing and 3D animation for a few years now. I also am a committee member of the Filmmakers Collaborative at Unimelb.
Hello World! I’m Kacie, a BSc student in Electrical Engineering. I am passionate about embedded systems from both a software and hardware perspective. I am also quite involved with the engineering student clubs, so you might see me around, feel free to say hi! I hope you enjoy the subject!

I am a second year PhD student in Physics with the experimental particle physics research group, working on the Belle II experiment. This is my sixth year working as a computing tutor and 8th semester tutoring COMP10002. Outside of studies I spend my time indulging in Melbourne food and coffee, doing some baking, and working with the University of Melbourne Postgraduate Physics Society (PPSS).
I studied a bachelor degree of science with a major in Electronic Engineering at Melbourne University in 2012. I currently work as a professional tutor and tour guide of Melbourne. I look forward to teaching you programming.
Hi everyone! I completed my MSc in Mathematics in 2024 and am currently a second year PhD student researching Security and Robustness of AI and Adversarial Learning. This is my second semester tutoring for Foundations of Algorithms, and I hope that together we can turn it into one of your favourite subjects! In my free time, I enjoy aerial dance. So, most of the time, you’ll find me spinning upside down on a hoop or hammock.
I’m currently a third year student majoring in Pure Maths with a Diploma in Computing. In my spare time I like to play tennis, game, and sleep (which I’m putting off because of this - whoops). Looking forward to meeting you!
I (on the left) am a second year PhD student in Electrical Engineering and Physics in the OzGrav and Opinion Dynamics groups, studying gravitational waves and modelling opinions physically. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking fancy meals, running long slow distances, brewing and consuming coffee, playing Zelda, and playing fetch with Nano (on the right).
Hi! I am a fourth year undergrad majoring in Data Science. In my free time I scroll Reddit and cook. Currently working on perfecting my Vietnamese dishes! Hope you guys find FoA to be pho-nomenal!
Hi! I’m a third year undergrad student majoring in computing & software systems. This is my first semester teaching FoA. Besides that, I love playing guitar and travelling!
Hello! I’m Patrick, a third-year B-SCI student majoring in Mathematical Physics with a Concurrent Diploma in Computing. My hobbies include programming simulations and embedded systems on the university team’s rocket, pursuing my interest in quantitative finance, and automating even the most menial tasks. Chances are, if you spot me around campus, I’ll be programming!
Hello all! My name is Veronika, and I am a fourth year student majoring in Statistics, with a Diploma in Computing. In my free time I enjoy baking, board games, and Brazilian jiu jitsu! I am from New Zealand, and I have a little corgi back home called Lyra.Â
Hi! I’m Taher, a third-year BSc student majoring in Computing and Software Systems and taking breadth in Finance. In my spare time, I enjoy playing board games, modded Minecraft, and automating any and every task! I also run the university’s Robotics, Engineering & Competition Society (RECS), competing in the VEX Robotics Competition under the team name EMU5. Â
Hello! My name is Sharan, I’m a final year master of computer science student working on a year long research project in quantum computing. My favourite algorithms are quick sort for classical computers and Grover’s search for quantum computers, and my hobbies are volleyball, hiking and copious procrastination.Â
